Roles

• Talk about roles quickly – here’s a very rough org chart!
• Everyone should take a minute and check out the Tools->Interest Table to see if the general team they were assigned matches.
• You can change this by clicking on Enable Inline Edit link in the top right corner.  Then, click on the square you want to change – a pop-up window should appear letting you edit.  Remember to click Save when done.

Website Brainstorming

• Decide what we want to see on Home Page
• Spent 10  minutes in small groups updating Google Jamboard each looking at site.
• Summarize what we like as group.  Look at Pages 9 & 10 of the Jamboard for a summary of what we like and don’t like so far.
• Split back into groups to make mock home pages:
  • Simone:  Micah, Alex, Lola, Rohini
  • Meredith: Eva, Riley, Willa, Elsa, Lily
  • Clara:  Alice D, Sage, Zara, Leila
  • Alice P: Claire, Anna, Lily C., Francesca

Make Your Own Mock by Thursday, October

• Taking into consideration everything that we said we wanted to change and keep, and what you liked/didn’t like in the other Websites, start by making a SKETCH of what you think the new home page should look like.
• Try to use the common WordPress features that we talked about last time like: header, slideshow, button, About us, Callouts, Posts, Paragraphs
• Convert Sketch to a web page
  • On jacksonreedhs.org/mock go to Dashboard and then Pages.
  • Click Add New
  • Label it with your group name and then click Beaver Builder
  • Click Launch Beaver Builder
  • If it offers to give you a tour click, YES, if not don’t worry about it
  • Work with your group to try to emulate what you drew on the sketch – it’s okay if you don’t know how to add something from your sketch
